We are aware of how much information there is available on the internet about how to lose weight. But you are not joining us for a bit of information. We are here to support you through your weight loss, a weekly weigh in (if you choose) and the forum to get ideas and motivation from. Weight loss information is easy to find - it is the support that you join for.
We work with PayPal subscription as they offer a simple, safe and secure method for you to make your regular payment. When you join they’ll ask you for a bank account or card from which the payment can be taken each month. £8 will then be deducted monthly, around the same day that you joined.
The good news is you don't need a PayPal account to join Beltdown. The advantage of PayPal is in the security of knowing your financial details are safe and sound, whether you have a Paypal account or not, you can still join Beltdown and have your monthly subscription securely deducted from your debit or credit card. If you decide to cancel, that’s easily done at any time.
You will automatically receive an email with some simple instructions to follow, to complete your registration. Once you’ve done this you will immediately gain access to the full Beltdown member’s website, where you will find our super simple plan, our online community and all our tools.
We’re hoping that Beltdown will work perfectly for you, and you’ll stay with us until your weight loss job is done. If however you decide to cancel, that’s easily done. You’re not tied in to a minimum contract , and there is no penalty to you. Just know that when the time is right to rejoin, you’ll always be welcome to come back.
Beltdown is an adult community and is restricted to members over 18 years of age. Whilst we had men in mind when we came up with our plan and the whole waist loss concept, there’s nothing to stop a woman from joining us - she’ll have just the same chance of great weight loss. Because we aren’t meeting you and personally guiding your weight loss there are some people who would be better with a medical practitioner’s advice rather than online help. We therefore don’t accept members with a history of eating disorders, who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and we’d like to know if any of our members have existing illnesses.
We don’t insist that you follow our eating plan, we know that some members are with us for the support and community and are doing their own thing. That’s fine with us. We would say that if you are making really big changes to your eating habits, you should chat it over with your doctor first. This is especially important if you have previously been given dietary advice, for example by a diabetes nurse. However our plan is a straightforward plan that encourages better eating, your doctor should be quite pleased you are doing something about your weight in a healthy way.
Ah, the exercise question. Many people are convinced that you can’t lose weight unless you massively increase your exercise regime. This isn’t true. If you get your eating right you can enjoy great weight loss, regardless of changing your activity level. Don’t allow the lack of time / ability to exercise to become a reason not to do anything about your weight (or waist). However, many people like to exercise alongside healthy eating, they find it helps them to keep it up, helps them to tone and makes them feel better. We will encourage you to increase your activity levels on the site and in our emails, but we don’t claim to be fitness instructors, there are better people than us who can help you to devise a fitness programme if that’s what you decide you’d like. But we’ll help you get the eating right!
